About the event
An interactive, skills-based training designed to transform passive witnesses into confident, proactive agents of safety and respect. In any community, workplace, or social environment, inappropriate behavior—ranging from microaggressions and harassment to targeted bullying—often thrives because people don't know how to safely step in. This program closes that gap by equipping participants with the practical, actionable tools needed to disrupt harm in real time without escalating conflict.
Rather than focusing solely on abstract concepts, this session prioritizes real-world application. Participants will explore the psychological barriers that cause the "bystander effect" and learn how to overcome them. The core of the training centers on actionable intervention frameworks—including direct intervention, distraction, and delegation—ensuring that everyone leaves with options that align with their personal comfort levels and the specific context of a situation.
